Making a playground in minecraft for Pahurehure inlet.

This week we had to make a playground/fort we did maths and drawing 3d shapes.

I enjoyed making a playground/fort in minecraft and I also like drawing 3d shapes.
What would your playground look like if you made one?

How to build playground in minecraft

This week for my writing I made instructions on how to build a playground in Minecraft.

Step one: First you will need wood, any colour concrete and ladders.
Step two: Now that you have your blocks and ladders, place four wood on the grass, then add another four and place it behind the four wooden blocks. Add four more above, keep on adding four on the same level and add four above. I will show a photo of what it should look like. Then if you want to build a slide, you can do the same thing but you add water so you can go down it faster. Step three: Next is ladders if you add ladder then that could be another to get your playground.
Also building an area for parents to sit can really make a touch. I hope these tips helped and your playground looks amazing.

Pahurehure inlet project

This week for are learning we did a mini steam project.

I enjoyed doing a steam project and explaining my idea in minecraft.
What do you want to change about Pahurehure?

How my project can help Pahurehure

This week for writing I had to do a steam project about what we can change about Pahurehure.

How my project can help Pahurehure

Hello, this is why my project can help  Pahurehure inlet and what is going on there. My project is about what we can fix to stop the pollution.

Firstly, if we add rubbish bins we can stop people throwing rubbish on the side of the path or the road. Secondly, if we add native trees we can have native birds that can get food or make nests, so that they don't starve or don’t have a home. Thirdly, if we add railings then people won’t fall off and it is much safer. Lastly, having pest traps can stop dogs or pets from getting hurt. Another thing is pulling out mangroves because fish can have more room to swim and don’t get stuck in a mangrove.

So that is how my project can stop what is happening in Pahurehure.

A letter to Auckland council

This week for writing we had to write a letter to Auckland council.

Address: 23 Ray Small Drive

Date: 21 October

Auckland Council

Dear, Auckland Council

Hello, Auckland Council. I want to talk about Pahurehure inlet and what you can do to change what is going on there. Firstly, more rubbish bins need to be added to the inlet, because you can see rubbish on the side of the road and paths. Another thing is that if you add railing to the side on the path then people won’t fall off. I also think if you add more native trees we can have more native birds around the area, who can build nests and have homes. Also if you pull out the mangroves we can see the inlet more clearly. Lastly, if you add more pest traps then dogs and other pets or birds don’t get hurt or harmed. That's all that I think you should change or add to Pahurehure inlet to stop what is going on there.

Your Sincerely

From Livia,

I enjoyed writing a letter to Auckland council.

How do our eyes work?

For writing I did it about how our eyes work.

Purpose:explain

R.T:Conjunctions and connectives

We all watch tv and do online work but how do our eyes make us see the world around us and how does it work?. We first go in the eye and you will see four parts of the eyes called. The Cornea, that is the front of your eye, the Iris the red part of your eye, the Lens, Vitreous and the Retina. You might think that's done but I haven’t explained how these parts work.

For example if I had a candle and you were looking at it the light first will go to your Cornea then it gets bent to the Lens. After going through the Lens it bends a second time after it arrives at the Retina. It is like a  reversed image and turned it upside down like if it was the end of a story, but the world would always appear upside down. In the brain the image is right side up but before it goes to the brain it needs to go through the Impulses along the optic nerve before it goes through the brain. Once it is done in the optic nerve it then goes to the occipital lobe in your brain when the image is there it forms it gets its proper perspective.

Now let's talk about the eyes shape with normal vision the focuses on the retina at a location called the Focal point but if the eye is nearsighted the eye is bigger and that means Focal point is a not on the retina but glasses with concave Lens the Focal point is at the right location. But with farsighted vision the eyes length is to short when that happens the focal point is behind the retina. That's all about the eye and it is sure a lot of explaining just about the eye.

I enjoyed learning about the eye and how it works.

What do you know about the eye?
