Should New Zealand open their borders?
New Zealand was Covid free again until August. Should we open are borders if there is Covid in the country?. We have got many cases in the past days for example 83,82 and 75 and they all are increasing very fast. How we got all of these cases was because of the delta variant we are in lock down for another two weeks and what deltas are made of is sediment. Firstly, the case that got all of us in lock down was from Australia when we opened our borders to them, but we should have stayed closed until their cases got lower but we decided to open them. Secondly, the people who came over from Australia should have gotten a Covid test before they went on the plane so no Covid would be on the plane. Thirdly,if they did not have a Covid test then it would be hard to notice if someone had Covid. Lastly, we should learn from our mistakes of opening are borders to Australia.
Nice piece of writing Livia! You have used some great facts to support your point of view, such as the amount of cases New Zealand has had. I also like how you said it is important for people from other countries to get a COVID test before getting on a plane.
ReplyDeleteNext time remember to paragraph you writing. Your introduction, point of view and conclusion should be in separate paragraphs. Also make sure to include a conclusion. This is when you sum up the main points. For example, "As you can see COVID-19 is a dangerous virus and the DELTA variant is even more dangerous. I strongly believe New Zealand should keep the borders closed to protect our country".
